Now if your Sally won’t let you buy a beautifully restored vintage Ford Mustang for driving around Manama … here’s the next best thing … a 1965 Ford Mustang pool table. Manufactured by CarPoolTables and officially licensed by Ford Motor Company, the Mustang pool table is the ideal home accessory for the pony car fan. At 119 inches long, the 4 x 8 foot pool table is shorter than the original classic, but otherwise looks remarkably accurate.

That’s because company co-founder Tony Utegaard and his team patterned the fibreglass body of the pool table from the original car. They found a 1965 Mustang in a salvage yard and used it directly to create the moulds.

The 1965 Ford Mustang pool table is available from merchandise.ford.com for around BD3,800.

Saturday proved a perfect night for GulfWeekly Editor Stan Szecowka at an American businessman’s ball. Not only did he pick up a Page One scoop, enjoy fine food and scintillating conversation but he won a prize draw for the first time in his life.

The first business card pulled out of the bowl at the MECACC Gala Dinner received a business class return ticket to Washington DC from Bahrain on United Airlines.

Stan received his prize from United Airlines account executive in Bahrain John Fernandes, of Kanoo Travel Centre, and Manu Philip, key account manager.

Delighted Stan has passed the prize on to an American pal who is keen to visit his family back home.
