Rajinder Sachdeva and Naeem Khan were crowned overall champions of the BMMI Shops Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club (RGC) after winning the order of merit with a fantastic total of 17 points. The duo played consistently throughout the series and enjoyed two wins along with several second and third place finishes.
The final competition in the series was played in the greensomes format and was won by the pairing of Joe Freeman and Allan Vandewater with a nett score of 37.2. Nils and Dagfrid Berge were runners up with 37.4 nett while Chris Butler and playing partner Matt Doyle made up the top three with a nett 38.4. Nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 were won by Essa Ibrahim and Matt Doyle respectively.
A prize presentation ceremony took place in the club’s Members’ Lounge and Jason Mejia, the RGC’s tournament co-ordinator, was on hand to present the prizes.
A new Monday Madness Night Golf Series, sponsored by NHSC, will begin on Monday. The nine-hole competitions are open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night and tee off every Monday with a 6.30pm shotgun start.
