Tony Bridgens and playing partner Murray Brown won first prize in the opening match of the new BMMI Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club with a score of 25 nett stableford points.
Sheldon Custer and Chris Butler were runners-up with a score of 23 and the duo of Wayne Giles and Don Warren clinched third place on countback with 22. Bridgens won an additional prize for coming closest to the pin on the 12th hole and Rob Lane was closest on hole 16. More than 25 golfers competed in the Rainbow Challenge betterball stableford competition, the first of a six-week series.
