David Wales enjoyed a clear victory in the July competition of the Euro Motors BMW Monthly Medal Series at the Royal Golf Club with a nett score of 70 and Peter O’Brien took the runners-up spot with 79 nett.
Dave Martin won the second division of the popular members’ series with nett 71 and Wayne Giles came second on nett 77.
In division three Lady Captain Dena Wales, wife of David, clinched first place with a nett score of 73, also taking the title of ladies best nett score. Ashley Price was runner-up on nett 75. All six players will progress to the Euro Motors BMW Grand Final which will take place at the Royal Golf Club in December.
Everyone in the field had the chance to win a brand new Mini Cooper as a hole in one prize on hole 16. Although no one won, there were several close attempts at the hole, a few balls ending up within five or six feet of the pin while one landed just two feet away from the hole only to roll past.
