Kevin Ross and Paul Forrie won the fourth match of the BMMI Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club, putting them in the lead in the overall order of merit. The duo were runners-up in the previous match but enjoyed a comfortable win in the latest Vegas Stableford competition, scoring 25 points.
Surprisingly, seven pairings were tied for second place on 22 points with Yaver Rashid and William Dowhy clinching the runners-up spot on countback. Lady Captain Dena Wales and her husband David took third place. Anders Sandstrom won a prize for coming closest to the pin on the 12th hole and Murray Brown was closest on hole 16.
More than 30 golfers took part in the latest competition which was blessed with relatively cool weather and a light breeze. The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Members’ Lounge.
The BMMI Monday Madness Night Golf Series takes place at the Royal Golf Club every Monday evening. The 9-hole competitions are open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night and tee off with a 6.30pm shotgun start.
