Promising young golfer Taimur Malik comfortably won the second competition in the new VIVA Junior Saturday Series at the Royal Golf Club.
The 12-year-old achieved a score of 24, leaving Ali Babtain to take the runners-up spot in the Junior Elite category with a score of 31.
In the Junior Academy category, designed for youngsters new to the game, Ali Al Kowari narrowly clinched first place with a score of 29 on countback. Eid Meftah came second, also with a score of 29.
VIVA has come on board as the title sponsor of the series which has been designed with a view to encouraging young golfers to engage in competitive play.
The remainder of the Saturday Series competitions will take place at the Royal Golf Club on November 15, 22 and 29 with the final event being held on December 13.
