Depriest Daniels won the February qualifier of the Euro Motors BMW Monthly Medal Series 2015 at the Royal Golf Club with a nett score of 74. Nasser Yacoob came second with a nett score of 76.
Robert Addison narrowly clinched top spot in division two of the popular members’ series with a nett score of 78 and former club captain Ebrahim Esbai was runner-up with 79 nett.
In the third division Dagrid Berge took first place on nett 76, also winning the ladies best nett score category in the bargain. Bill Lindsay was runner up with 77 nett.
All six players will progress on to the Euro Motors BMW Grand Final, which will take place at the Royal Golf Club in December.
They will be joining Graeme Newport who won the opening competition with a nett score of 72. Ali Saleh came second with a nett score of 74.
Haitham Haji claimed January’s top spot in division two with a nett score of 72, and schoolboy sensation Taimur Malik, was runner-up with 75 nett.
In the third division Arnaud Robert narrowly clinched first place on nett 72 on countback and Lilian Le Falher finished second on the same score. Berge achieved the best ladies nett score of 79.
“We are delighted to see a new Euro Motors BMW series get underway,” said Sohail Singh, the Royal Golf Club’s tournament co-ordinator. “It’s great to see so many members back from their holidays and getting back out on the golf course which is in superb condition.”
