Many golfers focus on the path of the club when practicing their putting, but what is really important is where the face is pointing at impact – this is what really determines where the ball goes.
Next time you practice your putting, focus more on maintaining a square clubface to improve your accuracy.
Try this tip to help:
* Find a flat surface and place a cylindrical object (for example a marker pen) at 90 degrees to your line.
* Make a stroke and try to get the pen to roll over on line without twisting. This proves that your face was square at impact.
* Repeat a few times, then replace the pen with a ball and enjoy watching the ball roll into the middle of the cup!
