Butt continues form with second win

Royal Golf Club member Iftikhar Butt enjoyed his second consecutive win in the six-week long Coca-Cola Monday Madness Night Golf Series, this time with a different playing partner.

Butt and Tawfeeq Al Moayyed won the 3 x 3 Rumble competition with a nett score of 30, narrowly knocking the duo of Rajinder Sachdeva and Kwang Seok Kim into second place with a score of 30.6 nett.

Jamie Bowen and Mike Brightmore clinched third place with 31.9 nett while nearest the pin side contest on holes 12 and 16 were won by Todd Gillespie and Murtuz Zamanly respectively.

More than 30 golfers took part in the competition which was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Members’ Lounge. Sheldon Cameron, the club’s golf operations manager presented the prizes.

The series takes place at the Royal Golf Club every Monday. The 9-hole competitions are open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night and tee off with a 6.30pm shotgun start.
