Gulf Weekly Al Hashel-Meftah duo register comfortable win

Ebrahim Al Hashel and young playing partner Eid Adel Meftah enjoyed a comfortable win in the third round of the Porsche Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club with a nett score of 29. Hilde Kwik and Dagfrid Berge narrowly clinched the runners-up spot with 32 nett and Gary Garrison and Ashley Price came third on 33 nett.

Al Hashel won an additional prize for coming closest to the pin on the 16th hole and Yaseen Le Falher won the nearest the pin contest on the 12th.

A full field of nearly 50 golfers participated in the betterball competition which was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Members’ Lounge where Sohail Singh, the club’s tournament coordinator, was on hand to present the prizes on behalf of Porsche Centre Bahrain.

After three rounds, Meftah sits in both first and second place in the overall Order of Merit. He and Ali Al Kowari top the leader board with seven points while this week’s win with Al Hashel puts the pair in joint second place with five points alongside three other pairings.

The series is staged every Monday evening. The 9-hole competitions are open to non-members at a cost of BD20 per night and tee off with a 6.30pm shotgun start. To register, email golfevents@theroyalgolfclub.com
