Bahraini national team
player Nasser Yaqoob, pictured right, clinched the top spot in the third monthly Porsche Golf Cup Series tournament at
the Royal Golf Club (RGC) with a gross score of 72.
Fellow national team player Sultan Al Hakam took the runners-up spot with 74 gross. Dagfrid Berge narrowly won the
nett section of the popular series with a score of 68 nett while Colin Dear took second place on countback with a nett
score of 69. All four players received a Porsche goody bag as their prizes.
Mohammed Al Sayed continues to top the gross section leaderboard after three rounds with a score of 243 while Barry
Hobday sits in second place with 249. In a reversal of this, Hobday leads the nett category of the series with 231 and Al
Sayed lies in second place on the same score.
More than 85 players took part in this month’s individual strokeplay tournament. The series consists of seven rounds
and each player’s best six scores out of seven will represent their final score.
