The Royal Golf Club’s 2016 Ladies Captain Karin Lutz led her team to victory in October’s Ladies Monthly Charity Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel.
Lutz and teammates Noelle Casey, Denise Dunne and Fiona Elsdon achieved a winning team nett score of 44. Dunne won an additional prize for coming nearest to the pin on hole 2 while Debbie Lane, Linda Boland and Johanna Hassett won the nearest the pin side contests on holes 7, 11 and 18 respectively.
The monthly Texas Scramble competitions are proving popular with Bahrain’s female golfers and feature an array of prizes sponsored by the hotel.
Money raised at the events is being donated to the Ladies Captain’s chosen charity for 2016, The Palm Association. Ladies-only golf competitions are held at the Royal Golf Club every Monday and Wednesday at 8.30am and are open to both members and visitors.
