THE 37th Airmech-sponsored singles stroke-play competition took place at Awali Golf Club last Friday and a beautiful day witnessed many ‘personal best’ rounds played.
The medal winner was Ali Musbah with a gross score of 71- Ali Mohammad Kowari lost on count back.
Flight One (0-10) had Daij Khalifa take first place with a score of gross 76, nett 66. Second place was taken by Ali Mohammed Kowari with gross 71, nett 66 and Hussain Salem with gross 80, nett 64, came third.
The first, second and third places of Flight Two (11-18) went to Bronson John with a gross 80, nett 64, Yong Back Kim with gross 78, nett 65 and Mario Carangan Jr with gross 80, nett 66 respectively. Dong Jin Jeong with net 66 and gross 81 lost on count back.
Flight Three (19-36) saw first go to Balbir Singh with a gross 89, net 65. Paul Anderson took second with gross 84, nett 65 and Nicola Bailey finished in third with gross 92, nett 67.
Prizes for Nearest the Pin went to Mubarak Saad Sultan, Essa Qutami, Sarah Hobday and Onny Martin.
A full clubhouse was present at the prize-giving ceremony, where Airmech provided a generous prize table and refreshments.
