Everyone is invited to a free open day at the Royal Golf Academy featuring free golf lessons and use of the Wee Monty par 3 golf course, as well as plenty of games, activities and competitions.
The Royal Golf Club’s newly-arrived head teaching professional, Nikki Hunter, is delighted to invite women of all ages to sign up for a special tuition programme where they will learn all aspects of the game of golf. Lessons will take place at 10.30am every Sunday starting next week. The eight-week programme is open to the public and costs BD80 per person, inclusive of equipment hire, golf balls and water.

Steve Diaper claimed the first prize in the Magic Island Stableford competition held at Awali Golf Club last Friday. It was a day of high scores where many of the 80 competitors carded above average points and earned handicap cuts into the bargain.
The team of husband and wife Dustin and Dana Whitely, paired with Phil and Julie Dixon, enjoyed a comfortable win in the Royal Golf Club’s annual F1 Scramble golf tournament with a nett score of 55.4.
