Riffa Golf Club’s vice-captain Phil Durnford narrowly clinched first place in a Summer Open competition at the weekend with a score of 37 points on count back.
Aidan McNulty had to settle for second place, also on 37 points while Kevin Duncan was third with 34. A nearest the pin side contest on the 7th hole was won by Jack Lusk.
Over 80 competitors took part in the individual stableford competition and had the choice of playing in a 7.30am or 12.00 noon shotgun start. Prize vouchers were presented to the winners by director of golf, Phil Jones.
