The drag strip at the Bahrain International Circuit hosted yet another thrilling "test and tune" round this weekend, as it prepared for the first round of the Bahrain National Drag Racing Championship due to take place on January 24 and 25.

Hundreds of fans made their way, some from as far as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, to the track recently to watch or participate on the strip. Impressive times in preparation for the season were recorded during the four-hour late evening event.

Many homegrown talents were in action including Bahraini drag-star Ali Aryan. The champion will be participating, this year, in last season's Emirati drag winner Bader Al Ahli's car, the Mustang "Willys" in the 'Pro Mod' category.

Bikers and racers who attended the event to test their cars and bikes on the recently renovated drag strip were more than happy with the changes and modifications made this year. Following the success of last year's races, drivers are looking forward to an even better season this year.

The final "test and tune" round will take place on January 18, just days before the championship's first round. Thrill-seeking fans can attend for only BD2. As for the first round of the season, tickets will range from BD3 - BD5.
