MARTIN Fish and Zayed Al Zayani of Standard Chartered 'One' yesterday clinched the winners' trophy in the American Mission Hospital (AMH) Island Classic Sponsors' Golf Tournament, which was held at His Majesty King Hamad's private golf course in Safriya.
The pair, competing on the third and final day of the Better Ball Stableford competition, finished with a team score of 47 points. They overcame the score of previous leaders and eventual runners-up Interglobal 'One', comprising David Axtell and Matt Rushden, who on the penultimate day scored 46 points.
Finishing third overall was DHL 'Two', composed of Paul Bicknell and John Ennis. The pair also made their 18-hole round yesterday and claimed their classification place with 44 points.
A total of 22 teams teed off on Saturday.
