Shaikh Rashid bin Sager Al Khalifa won the annual CFC Masters competition with a total of 39 points. David Wales was a close second with 38 points while Riffa Golf Club general manager Michael Braidwood came third with 32.

The CFC Masters is a social tournament normally held every year at Riffa Golf Club and organised by former club captain Richard Duncan. Due to the temporary closure of the club, this year's competition was held at the Bahrain Golf Club instead.

Side contest prizes were awarded for unusual achievements such as worst score of the day (won by Colin Ferguson, one of Riffa's PGA Professionals!) as well as for wildest drive of the day.

"Congratulations to Shaikh Rashid on his fine win," said Duncan at the prize-giving ceremony. "I think everyone had a very enjoyable day. We are now looking forward to our next competition which will be held on the fabulous new course at Riffa Views."

Results: 1st Shaikh Rashid bin Sager Al Khalifa (39 points), 2nd David Wales (38), 3rd Mike Braidwood (32).

Side contests -

Worst score: Colin Ferguson (28); Leading lady: Marion Horne; Wildest drive: Peter Loubser; Longest drive: Mark Holmans.
