Amwaj Islands, also referred to as Juzur Amwaj, consist of a series of man-made islands, reclaimed off the northeast coast of Muharraq.
The mixed-use development covers an area of 2.8 million sqm, provides 9.5 kilometres of beachfront land and will consist of beachfront residences, four and eight-storey apartment buildings, 30 office towers, a large waterfront shopping mall, hotels, motels, amusement park, aqua park, cinemas, bowling alley, health clubs, restaurants, marina club, six serviced apartment buildings, central lagoon and a marina.
The elongated curve known as Tala Island is one of the residential communities in Amwaj which offers a variety of villa options, each with individual beach access, and a wide range of apartments set in over a million sq ft of irrigated, lush landscape.
The island is unique, being almost the only project of its type to offer beach villas. Most developments use retaining walls to the water level, whereas Tala has been specifically designed to include a long sweep of beach. There are 46 villas available with a built area between 390 to 523 sq m. The villas range from four to five and six bedrooms.
Currently there is a semi-furnished five bedroom beach villa for sale, boasting a beautiful sea view and swimming pool. The ground floor includes a spacious dining and living room with views and access through the sliding doors to the beach and pool. The fully-fitted kitchen features a breakfast bar which opens into the living room. A laundry room is also available on the ground floor along with the maid's quarters and storage room.
The first floor consists of four sizable bedrooms and a family room. All bedrooms are fitted with a wardrobe and include en-suite bathrooms. The entire villa is set up with central cooling. There is a double car space on the property and visitor parking on the street. There is also a Dairy Queen, Costa Coffee and a supermarket within walking distance.
