The Royal Golf Club's Captains' Quaich tournament was won this year by 2006 Captain Barry Hobday with a score of 38 Stableford points.

Barry birdied holes 2, 8 and 15, arguably three of the hardest holes on the Club's championship course, to clinch the title for the third year running.

The annual competition sees club captains past and present vying for the illustrious Captains' Quaich trophy. Quaich is the Gaelic word for a shallow, two-handled bowl, traditionally used for drinking from. They are now used as prizes or gifts and are usually made from silver or pewter.
