Ithmaar Bank announced its silver sponsorship for the 3rd King Hamad Trophy Golf Championship which will be held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad from December 9-11 at the Royal Golf Club.
Ithmaar Bank support group general manager Juma Abull presented a cheque to Adel Al Fayyadh, representative of the Bahrain Golf Association and higher organising committee member of the championship.
Abull said: "We are pleased to note that Bahrain Golf Association has been organising the championship for the past two seasons. We would like to take this opportunity to wish them all the best," said Abull.
"Bahrain is the first country in the GCC to embrace the sport," said Al Fayyadh. "The championship attracts many players from Bahrain and other Middle Eastern and Asian countries. This year alone, we are expecting around 100 professional and amateur players," he said.
"It also attracts a large number of spectators and golf enthusiasts from in and out of Bahrain," said Al Fayyadh.
