THE British Club has been chosen as a Best in Country winner in The Telegraph's Best of British Awards!
It is now not only classed as the best social club in Bahrain, but stands a chance of becoming the Best in the World.
The shortlist of winners and other commended establishments from 47 countries are now live on The Telegraph's Best of British site, which can be accessed via www.telegraph.co.uk/expat. All Best in Country winners entered the final round of the competition, to select the Best in the World.Voting in this round ended on Monday.
The world winners will be announced at the Best of British Awards ceremony on April 22 in London.
"We will be sending a certificate recording the club's Best in Country victory," said Richard Ellis, publisher, The Telegraph.
Sixty eight members voted in the first round and were second behind a group of expats in the US who don't even have proper premises and who have 'over 100 members'. The British Club has nearly 2,000 members.
